MyWorldPlus Home Business

My first attempt to “work at home” came when I was in college. I saw an ad to “take surveys and earn thousands of dollars a month.” I signed up. “Wow, this is going to be great!!!” I paid the $49.99 and got started. Well, all they did was send me a word document full of links (half of which didn’t work). I ended up reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and getting my money back. At that point I decided there were no legit Work at Home companies. Fast forward to now. I’ve resigned from my job as a first grade teacher and am staying at home with my baby. I know that I do not want to return to work until he is older, so I know that I’ve got to create my own opportunities.

I started my search through a website called WAHM This stands for Work at Home Mom. I love the forums on this website because it is full of REAL people who’ve already tried or are currently trying the business opportunities and telecommuting jobs that are out there. This site is a great place to do your research!

I found one business opportunity that really seemed cool. I was *very* nervous to sign on because it requires a fee to set up a website for you as well as a monthly charge for the product they offer. I did my research though, and joined up.

The biz op is called “My World Plus”. I just signed up last week, so I’m not going to tell you I’ve made thousands and thousands of dollars for doing two hours of work. First of all, let me explain the program. MyWorldPlus is basically a discount card program. They offer discounts on vacations, groceries, restaurants and fast food, etc. I was skeptical of this because it charges a monthly $20 fee for the card. However, when you take the little tour they offer you can search for deals in your area. Even the dinky little bowling alley in my dinky little town has a partnership with them! I haven’t used the discounts yet because the card takes two weeks to arrive, but from the WAHM forum I know that people are saving money. So, that at least made me feel better about paying for this service.

I really liked the discount aspect…I’m always looking for a good deal, especially now with a baby! Gotta save on those diapers! What I really liked was that I could offer the card to others and make $25 per person I sponsor or enroll! Then I earn $8 on every person they enroll and so on. What really caught my eye was that I can earn on the people my team members enroll as well (I think that can really add up!).

I’m still very new, but I’ve signed one person up which excited me :) I’ll chronicle my experience here with this program so you know if it’s one you might be interested in. It’s just one of the things I’m doing to work at home. Stay tuned and learn from my mistakes and successes!
